Di Spiezio Sardo is a Partner and a member of the Members’ Board
of BlueGem Capital Partners.
Prior to joining BlueGem as Partner in 2007, Emilio Di Spiezio
Sardo has worked for over six years in Investment Banking at Merrill
Lynch and has almost two years experience in the hedge fund industry
at York Capital Management.
During the six years in Investment Banking (1999-2005), Emilio
worked in the European merger and acquisitions and Italian corporate
finance divisions in London and Rome. He gained exposure to mergers
and acquisitions, debt and equity products and closed over twenty
deals involving private and listed companies.
In his experience within the hedge fund industry (2005-2007),
Emilio worked as an investment manager in London at the
European office of York Capital Management, a global multi-strategy
fund with approximately $ 10 billion under management, gaining
exposure to European markets.
Emilio Di Spiezio Sardo graduated summa cum laude in Economics
and Finance at Bocconi University in Milan after spending one academic
semester at the University of Warwick in Coventry (UK) as part
of the Erasmus project.
