Rocco Sabelli is currently the CEO of Data Service,
a company operating in the technology outsourcing industry listed
on the Milan Stock Exchange.
He has been, from 2003 to 2006, the
CEO of Piaggio, the Italian listed manufacturer of branded scooters.
He was also CEO of Immsi, the industrial and property services
listed holding controlling Piaggio and some real estate assets.
Prior to working at Immsi and Piaggio, Rocco
Sabelli had a long professional experience in the Telecom Italia
Group where he worked from 1993 to 2001. After working initially
in planning and control, in 1995 he moved to TIM where, three years
later, was appointed Chief Operating Officer. In 1999 he was
appointed head of Internet and wireline network services for the
Italian Market (residential and business customers) at Telecom
Italia. Subsequently, in 2000, he was appointed
head of the Wireline Services Business Unit, a division with 60,000
employees, where he had full P&L responsibility.
Prior to his experience in Telecom Italia, Rocco Sabelli worked
from 1985 to 1992 in the Eni group where he held a number of
managerial positions in group companies until his appointment as Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of New Ideni, an industrial holding.
Rocco Sabelli graduated in Chemical Engineering at Rome University.
