BlueGem Capital Partners LLP is the management
company of BlueGem LP, a private equity fund formed at the end
of 2006 and closed in May 2007.
BlueGem makes private equity investments
in mid-market companies mainly in Italy and in the UK, but will
also consider selective investment opportunities in other countries
within Europe.
The Fund has a capital commitment of over € 200
million and is targeting companies with an enterprise value between € 50
and € 300 million.
The investment team, based in London, is led
by Marco
Capello,
formerly Managing Director of Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity
and with over 18 years of experience in mergers & acquisitions
in London and New York.
The investment team includes Marco Capello, Emilio
Di Spiezio Sardo, with previous experience in London in the
hedge fund industry at York Capital Management and in
Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch and Marco
Anatriello, with previous experience in Merrill
Lynch Investment Banking in Milan and London and Vishesh
Srivastava with
previous experience in investment banking at Greenhill & Co
International in London.
The investment team works very closely both
with the Advisory Board and with its investors for the analysis
of potential investment opportunities and for the maximisation
of the deal-flow arising from the network of contacts available
to the Advisory
Board members and the BlueGem investors.
