Leïla currently consults with BlueGem Capital Partners as an Operating Partner, focusing on digital & marketing value creation across the portfolio. She works closely with investment and management teams on due diligence, post-acquisition value creation, and the scaling of digital, data and commerce capabilities to drive performance, resilience and enterprise value.
With over 16 years’ experience in data, digital and brand-led growth across technology and consumer businesses, Leïla has built a career operating at the intersection of digital transformation and commercial impact. Prior to BlueGem, she was Chief Digital Officer at L’Oréal, where she led digital strategy and execution across four major divisions, spanning the creator economy, consumer data, DTC and innovation to build durable advantage.
Before L’Oréal, Leïla worked at Unilever, where she shaped digital strategy for the homecare business and later as Global Head of Direct-to-Consumer, rethinking what the future of sustainable-first, commodity goods could look like. Earlier in her career, she spent six years at eBay, in roles stretching from brand incubation to strategic marketing and product, igniting the brand as one of the most relevant shopping destinations. She has also worked with digitally native scale-ups and eCommerce consultancies.
Leïla is French/Moroccan/Canadian and speaks French, English and Arabic.
